English / Poems (by me)

A heart but an empty one

Like sand through the fingers,

Our final minutes slipped by,

The moment we dreaded,

Had finally arrived.

A million thoughts raced through my mind,

But no words I could find.

With one last look in your eyes,

I turned away,

You couldn’t even whisper it,

And neither could I,

We went our separate ways,

Without saying good-bye.

A broken heart does not stop beating,

With every beat,

It hurts,

With every beat,

Its healing…
