I walk with you,

Hand in hand,

Footprints left,

On the sand,

A long walk it was,

Together you and me,

The world we saw,

And yet to see,

But a strong wave came,

And swept you away,

Alone I was left,

In the middle of the way,

I searched and searched,

For you everywhere,

The hurt, the loss,

I just could not bear,

A shadow I saw then,

Walking alone,

Not looking back,

Not caring if I was gone,

One set of footprints,

Walked away on the sand,

My heart ached,

Looking at my empty hands,

I fell on my knees,

A tear escaped my eye,

You left me,

Without saying good-bye,
